Arana de Mijas is set right in the heart of the prestigious Cerrado del Aguila golf resort, overlooking the driving range and clubhouse. The course itself is 9 holes with a further 9 planned. In the not too distant future, the completed course will be par 71, and offer more than 6,000 metres of playable area. Imagine stepping out of your home directly onto 425,000 metres of lawn – a veritable paradise with 400 olive trees, 900 pines, 300 cypresses, 70 palms, 7,000 shrubs and 4 lakes...

Enjoying sea views from almost every hole, Cerrado del Aguila Golf offers the amateur golfer complete enjoyment, whilst providing a challenging and highly-competitive environment for the golfing professional.

Some wide fairways and other tighter ones combine to give you a challenging course. Some par 4s of more than 400m and par 5s of more than 500m seem shorter than that thanks to the easy landscaping of the course. The par 3s have large and well formed greens, with different slopes to satisfy the most professional and technical of players. Many of the fairways are surrounded totally or partially by one of the 4 lakes that are found on the course.

Cerrado del Aguila Golf keeps a firm focus on the environment. A mix of trees (pines, olives, willows, coconut and palm trees) will form beautiful wooded areas, creating a unique atmosphere of well-being, whilst a state-of-the-art drainage and water recycling system, linked to the course’s four lakes, assist with water conservation.

More than 10 further golf courses are within a 15-minute radius, with dozens more located along the Coast.
